Steps for Opening a Donor Advised Fund Account
When opening your account simply review the following steps:

Step 1: Read our NPT Program Guide (PDF) to become familiar with all aspects of our program.

Step 2: Complete and sign our Donor Application (PDF). This includes:

  • Naming your account
  • Identify the asset(s) you wish to contribute
  • Select an investment strategy
  • Designate advisors
  • Create a succession plan by naming successors or charitable beneficiaries

Step 3: Fund your account with a minimum contribution of $25,000 (subsequent contributions may be for $5,000 or more).

Once your account is open and we receive your initial contribution:

  • We will issue you a temporary username and password so you may administer your account online.

  • We will send you a confirmation and all the information you'll filing your taxes.

  • You may submit grant recommendations at any time.
