In addition to offering donor-advised funds and supporting organizations, we provide a number of other philanthropic services to further our mission of increasing philanthropy in society. Some of these include:

Field of Interest Funds

This giving vehicle allows like-minded individuals, families or businesses to pool their charitable resources and recommend grants towards a single issue or "field of interest." We have managed field of interest funds dedicated to supporting breast cancer research, September 11th victims and their families, education initiatives and other charitable causes.

Advanced Grantmaking Services

NPT can provide a number of special services related to charitable giving. For example, we have managed grant competitions, fellowship awards, and matching grant programs for private foundations and corporations. 

NPT Charitable Asset Trust

In 2012, NPT established an affiliate: NPT Charitable Asset Trust (NPT CAT). NPT CAT is a public charity in the trust form. Most gifts to a public charity in the trust form -- particularly illiquid assets -- are subject to lower tax rates than other charitable organizations. NPT CAT manages the entire charitable giving process for you, from receiving the asset, to managing and liquidating the asset, and then administering grants to your recommended charities.

Research Reports and Donor Education Resources

Every year, as a service to our industry and interested parties, we publish an up-to-date analysis of the donor-advised fund market. The Donor-Advised Fund Report has become the preeminent information source on donor-advised funds. NPT has also been featured in a video series about philanthropy and a more in-depth series specific to donor-advised funds.
