Dr. Denis Mukwege wins International Development Prize

The Democratic Republic of the Congo decolonized from Belgium during the reign of King Baudouin.  And yesterday, the Foundation that bears his name awarded its International Development Prize to Dr. Denis Mukwege, a Congolese gynecologist whose significant philanthropic achievements include the founding of Panzi Hospital.
