Overview

Ethan Burke, CEPA®, CAP® is a Director of the Southeast at National Philanthropic Trust (NPT).

As a director, he works with financial advisors, bankers, attorney and accountants by providing consultative support to help clients achieve their philanthropic goals particularly in the area of complex assets. “Pass it On” appears on my grandfather’s headstone. He lived this virtue, constantly finding ways to help others around him, often anonymously. My parents instilled in me the notion to “Leave it better than you found it.” Both these sentiments serve as guiding principles for me.

Prior to working at NPT, Ethan had more than 20 years of experience in advanced philanthropic planning. He spent 10 years with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, working with high-net-worth individuals on legacy planning with complex assets. Ethan also served as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch as a private wealth strategist.

He received a graduate certificate from Georgetown University in Managing Global Business and a B.A. in Political Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
