Peter M. Carlson

Pete Carlson is a board member, audit committee chair and finance executive with 30 years of experience at Fortune 50 global financial service institutions and as a Big Five audit partner. Carlson currently serves on the boards of White Mountains Insurance Group (NYSE: WTM) and Citizens, Inc. (NYSE: CIA), along with being a trustee for Wake Forest University.

Recently, Pete served as CEO and a board member of Spectral AI, Inc. (MDAI), a late-stage medical device company, and served as CFO of MiMedx Group, Inc. (MDXG), a regenerative medicine company that develops innovative human placental tissue allografts. His prior experience includes serving as the Chief Accounting Officer at MetLife, Inc., the Controller at Wachovia Corporation, and as a partner for Arthur Andersen LLP.

Carlson is a graduate of Wake Forest University and is a licensed CPA.
