Since making our first grant in 1996, NPT has helped expand what’s possible through donor-advised funds. As philanthropy has evolved, we have continued to innovate, creating flexible ways for donors and advisors to pursue their philanthropic goals.
From accepting and managing complex assets and facilitating international grantmaking to supporting advisor-managed investment relationships and charitable programs for financial institutions, NPT has helped advance the ways donors and advisors can translate philanthropic intent into impact.
Today, NPT is one of the largest grantmaking institutions in the United States. That scale reflects the generosity of the donors we serve and provides a strong foundation for continued innovation as philanthropy evolves.

New generations of donors, evolving technologies, and new forms of wealth are reshaping philanthropy. Giving is becoming more global, interconnected, and integrated into financial, business, and family decisions.
Now, donors are navigating new grantmaking opportunities and priorities. Advisors are prioritizing philanthropy in client conversations. And with the resources created by these efforts, nonprofits are addressing new challenges.
Donor-advised funds have evolved alongside these changes, giving donors greater flexibility in how they plan, manage and support their philanthropy.

NPT is building on our legacy of innovation to strengthen connections across philanthropy. Our new mission reflects the role we can play in bringing together capital and expertise and partnering with philanthropists and their advisors to drive global impact.
We’re investing in experiences, insights and capabilities that strengthen how donors, advisors, financial institutions and nonprofits engage with NPT and with one another. By creating stronger connections across philanthropy, we can support more informed giving, stronger partnerships, and greater impact.
Our new brand reflects that direction and the organization we are continuing to become: one that brings together people, capital and expertise to expand what philanthropy can make possible.

NPT’s updated visual identity represents our continued integration in the philanthropic landscape. Our new brand mark and colors are a reflection of our new course forward.
Our logo is simple at first glance, but tells a story about who we are. Click through to learn more about the elements of our new brand mark:
The orange circle — echoed in the i in the word Philanthropic — lives at the center, as a reminder that philanthropy is at the core of everything we do. We’re mission-driven by nature, and we have always been independent, existing for the sole purpose of supporting philanthropic enterprise.
Surrounding the orange circle are four corners, which lend the brand mark its structure. These represent the four major groups we work with to pursue our mission: donors, advisors, financial institutions, and nonprofits.

When these elements are viewed together, the corners also represent arrows, offering a sense of direction from a central point outward. Taken together, the logo suggests that fostering philanthropic expertise through strong partnerships can create global impact.
Through industry-leading DAFs and wealth of philanthropic advisory services, we help donors and their family offices plan, manage, and carry out their charitable giving.
We support financial advisors who work with philanthropic individuals by connecting them with resources and helping them identify inflection points where philanthropy can integrate into broader wealth strategy.
In partnership with financial institutions, we offer private-label DAF solutions customized for their client base, enabling philanthropy at scale.

With our policy outreach, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership, we work to create a more equitable and sustainable environment in which nonprofits can thrive. We work directly with nonprofits to teach them how to engage with DAF-holding donors, and provide streamlined solutions for donors to connect with and support nonprofits.
CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — National Philanthropic Trust (NPT), the largest national independent public charity managing donor-advised funds (DAFs), today launched a new brand focused on “Building the Next Era of Philanthropy.” The launch commemorates the kickoff of NPT’s 30th anniversary and the opening of its new headquarters in Conshohocken, PA.
“This is an important moment for philanthropy,” said Holly Welch Stubbing, Chief Executive Officer and President of National Philanthropic Trust. “There is tremendous potential in the capital that will change hands, with companies and technologies reshaping how we live and work, and the generations making decisions about what they want their resources to accomplish. NPT brings together philanthropic expertise, flexible solutions, and strong relationships to help donors and their advisors put that potential to work and direct more resources to nonprofits and communities.”
