Jerel A. Hopkins joins NPT from the Hershey Trust Company where he served as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to Hershey Trust Company, for nearly two decades, Jerel served as Managing Director, Corporate Secretary and Associate General Counsel at Macquarie Asset Management in Philadelphia and New York City. Mr. Hopkins brings decades of legal experience to NPT including experience in state government, corporate law, securities law, asset management and financial services, strategic transformations, trust administration, compliance, risk management and board governance.
Jerel is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He earned his Juris Doctorate at Villanova University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Jerel resides in the Philadelphia area with his family where he is active in volunteering for youth organizations, including serving as a football coach and mentor.
