Notes from a Fundraiser

Earlier this year, I was honored to receive the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Outstanding Fundraising Professional of the Year award. The AFP has been an important part of my career—from connecting me to colleagues to providing highly valuable education and training to bestowing my ACFRE accreditation.

At its core, being a fundraiser is about being an ambassador for the mission and values of your organization. A fundraiser’s job is to carry that message to likeminded people to further the mission.

NPT’s role is to increase philanthropy in society. We connect motivated, thoughtful and inspiring donors to causes that are important to them on a daily basis. It is an honor and a privilege to be that link. Connecting people and organizations is one way to make the world a better place.
